Iraq

In early 2007 Embassy Baghdad’s Office of Provincial Affairs stood up ten new Provincial Reconstruction Teams (PRTs) embedded with the Army’s Brigade Combat Teams while also tripling the number of civilian staff in the PRTs.

Lebanon

Immediately following the summer 2006 conflict in Lebanon, S/CRS worked closely with the State Department’s Bureau of Near East Affairs (NEA) and the Embassy to offer reconstruction and stabilization (R&S) assistance.
